Use inverter to power tools on tractor
Here I use a dc to ac power inverter to power tools on my garden tractor. TECH:Using battery operated power tools in the field can be frustrating if you are far from an ac source of power, as most need a battery charger prior to use. Using a dc to ac power inverter, I use the charging system of my garden tractor to power full size 120 volt ac power tools in the field that would require either battery operated tools, hand tools or a giant extension cord. Here i use a 500 watt dc to ac power inverter to run a drill and saw from my garden tractor. Far from an ac power source, and connected to the inverter, I am able to use these 120 volt ac power tools making this job a piece of cake. While the 500 watt inverter shown here is sufficient, I recommend a 1000 watt inverter as insurance your biggest electric hand power tools will operate trouble free.
