Harbor Freight Brazed Carbide Face mill

Machining, Face mill Harbor Freight Brazed Carbide. Using the supplied 3” Face mill that comes with the Harbor Freight 40939 6x26 vertical bench milling machine. The brazed carbide face mill is mounted on a r8 tool holder and has 4 cutters.

Face machining a piece of steel angle iron which will be come the upright support for both my lathe milling attachment and my flame licker engine . The tool itself comes lacking proper cutting angle geometry and will require sharpening nearly immediately.

Here I am machining the faces of a piece of steel angle iron that will be part of a lathe milling attachment. The Spindle of the machine is turning approx. 600rpm with 4 brazed carbide inserts. Depth of cut is .015” and is preforming both conventional and climb milling operations.
